Sip and Paint - Recycling Style
Theme - Save Our Oceans
We are so excited to announce the launch of our new paint and sip classes - this time with a bit of an exciting twist!
Serendipity is proud to be part of the fight against fast fashion and the promotion of ethical consumerism. In Australia, 6000 kg of clothing is dumped in landfill every 10 minutes. We’re dedicated to raising awareness and providing our community with a place where they can shop to their hearts content without leaving an eco-footprint.
That’s why instead of using canvases for our paint and sip nights, we’ll be using recycled clothing and other interesting items! What better way to inspire ethical fashion and give your pieces some real talking points?
Every living thing depends on the ocean. Covering more than 70% of our planet’s surface, it contains an astounding diversity of life and affects everything from global weather patterns to food systems. For our first Paint and Sip night we’ll be using this theme to help inspire our pieces!
For the night:
Bring 2-3 items that you wish to paint on. They can be clothes like t-shirts, jackets, jeans but also bags and shoes. Or it can be kitchen utensil like wooden spoons, chopping boards.. Anything that has enough surface to paint on.
You can bring your own marine pictures or use the examples that will provide on the night.
Beginner friendly, don't be afraid if you don't know how to draw or what to draw! You'll be provided with brushes, mixing plates, professional mediums to paint on textiles, acrylic paint and inspiration. You can also buy clothes and other items at Serendipity during the night with a special discount of 50% off.
PJ will be running the classes, offering you guidance, supplies and fun times painting. PJ is a polish-italian artist with over 10 years of experience in art.
