SIP AND MAKE - UPCYCLED DECOUPAGE WORKSHOP
Drink wine and learn how to make something beautiful and unique!
Serendipity is proud to be part of the fight against fast fashion and the promotion of ethical consumerism. In Australia, 6000 kg of clothing is dumped in landfill every 10 minutes. We’re dedicated to raising awareness and providing our community with a place where they can create to their hearts content without leaving an eco-footprint. That’s why instead of using canvases for our sip and make nights, we will be using all recycled materials to create some beautiful decoupage decorative pieces for your home! What better way to inspire ethical decorating and give your pieces some real talking points?
About your teacher.
We are so pleased to introduce the wonderful and incredibly talented Catikina Meri Told. Cati is a new West End local, originally hailing from Vunamurmur, East New Britain (E.N.B.), and Papua New Guinea (P.N.G.). Cati has been passionate about fine arts since childhood and particularly loves working with printmaking, textiles, casting and crafts, with her forte being in building/making, colour and conceptualisation.
Cati's greatest passion is using a hands on approach to sustainability, skill sharing and healing through creative participation in the arts. Serendipity is so excited to be working with Cati to create a greater sense of community and most importantly provide people with some new skills and confidence.
P.S. Cati is also very passionate about sharing food and wine.
